Good Afternoon Portofino Owners,
Food and Beverage Forum
Premier Island Management Group wishes to thank all the Portofino residents who were able to attend the food and beverage forum held at the Terrazzo Grill on August 30. The forum was held to introduce new concepts for the food and beverage operations at the Lifestyle Center and gather valuable resident input and feedback. Some of the concepts introduced were a family theme night (Wednesdays), Prime Rib night (Thursdays), and ½ off Pizza (Sundays). The event was well attended by both owners and long term tenants and included a cocktail hour with drinks and heavy hors d'oeuvres. By all accounts a good time was had by all. As a result of all the information gathered from this event, Premier is set to roll-out the fall program on Thursday, September 9th, with the introduction of Prime Rib Night. Look for a formal schedule of hours of operation and weekly offerings in the near future. If you were unable to attend this event, you can still share your input regarding the food and beverage offerings by emailing Cheyenne Bates, Director of Food and Beverage, at cheyenneb@portofinoisland.com or simply reply to this email with your comments.
Football Weekends
With the arrival of the crisp autumn air and the turning of the leaves, well in Vermont anyway, comes another season of college and professional football. Last season, the Lifestyle Center hosted a football extravaganza every weekend in the Terracotta restaurant. Since these events were so well received, we’re doing it again this year, only bigger and better. We’ve moved the action to the Terrazzo Grill, weather permitting, implemented a refined pub-n-grub menu, and added additional televisions to give you all the gridiron action you need. Plus the management and staff have a few tricks up their sleeves that are sure to surprise and delight. The football weekends kick-off this Thursday night with the New Orleans Saints season opener against their conference rivals the Minnesota Vikings. So if you have not joined us in the past, we invite you to drop by and see what all the excitement is about.
Annual Membership Meetings
Your Homeowner’s Association team has completed mailing out the initial notices of the 2010 Membership meetings, held on Saturday, November 6th at the Pensacola Civic Center. Included in the notice are the forms to submit your name as a candidate for the Board of Directors. If you have interest in participating in your association government, the hours are short and the pay is fantastic (just kidding), please complete the included forms and return to the HOA office to put your name in the hat for election.
Land and Sea Workout
The Fitness Center is proud to announce the introduction of the Land and Sea workout program for our owners and guests. Beginning September 7th, for a six week period, the classes will be held at 5pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The program involves the use of paddle boards, hiking and resist-a-bands for a vigorous and refreshing outdoor workout designed to strengthen your core muscles and rejuvenate your soul in a natural setting. For additional information and sign-up, please contact the Fitness Center at 916-5360.
